THE STRATEGY CONCEPT

The wars of Alexander the Great (Ancient Greek: Wars of Alexander the Great) were a series of conquests carried out by Alexander III of Macedon from 336 to 323 BC.

The word, like its relatives (e.g., general), etymologically comes from Ancient Greece (army + I lead) and originally had a purely military meaning.

Specifically, strategy denoted the science or art of military command and the necessary planning for the optimal use of human and non-human resources (that is, soldiers and military material) towards achieving the set goals.

Strategy, as a plan of action that constitutes a conscious and intended effort, is applied not only in the field of war but also in various other cases (politics, economy, trade, games, digital technology, etc.) and for this reason, the term is widely used to denote:

The plan set in order to achieve any goal which usually involves a high level of difficulty (e.g., political campaigns of candidates, etc.)

The action plan of a business or an organization (mainly in a medium to long-term context)

The reasoning and actions that are followed in various games that require preparation in terms of moves (such as chess and electronic strategy games)

How strategy is involved in businesses: "Vision - Strategy - Execution - Success."
